This new wax melt is inspired by my own melt downs that I have regularly. I want to point out that this type of freak out or melt down is normal for spoonies, those with chronic illness and pain! We keep a demon locked deep inside, masking how we really feel! But sometimes, that demon has to come out, even for a little while, then back down it goes!
Can you imagine being in pain all the time, no breaks, no day off, and no cure and no even hope of a cure? There is no relief or treatment or medication that fully takes it away. Can you imagine not getting frustrated sometimes? Venting it out as a freak out or melt down is a good thing!
We need to release the anger, frustration, tension, because we constantly mask every day! We do not pretend to be sick, we pretend to be well and that takes energy to function as a normal day to day person while in intense pain!
For me I tend to melt down, I get so sad and frustrated and angry. I start crying and freaking out about my future. How bad will I get? Will I be a burden? This is why I am working so hard now. I want to build something to help me as I get worse in my disabled future. This is going to happen to me with my knees. I am halfway there to needing a wheelchair more than not. So yeah sometimes my inner demons, the ones I try to lock down deep inside come out. Most of the time I put on a brave face, but just sometimes, out comes that demon!!
